Hi there! Name’s Static Nonsense. If that’s too long though, feel free to call me SN. Let me tell you a bit about myself, since I’m pretty sure that’s what you’re at this page for.
I’m a young adult with a good host of mental and physical conditions, some diagnosed, some not, and some to still be explored. The ones that have the most distinct influence in my life are joint hypermobility, juvenile onset polyarthritis (of cause/type still to be determined), Fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Schizotypal (Personality) Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Dissociative Identity Disorder. A bit of an odd combination, but they certainly make life interesting.
I’m an artist out of necessity and a writer out of curiosity and small doses of rage. That is, if one could consider blogging writing. I had originally given both up quite some time ago, but within the last 2 to 3 years have been picking them back up. I utilize art as a form of therapy, which for me has been quite helpful. I do post my work on deviantArt, though I have my gallery locked for various reasons. For those with accounts, you are free to look, though be warned – I’m not a big fan of comments of how my work is good, they tend to undermine the point behind doing it. They are a window to my mind, nothing more. Unfortunately, those without deviantArt accounts will not be able to see it, and for this I apologize, though I feel it’s a necessary measure. Edit: Of course, now that the developers at deviantArt have declared that people like me don’t exist (GENDER AND SEX ARE A BINARY, HA HA, HA HA!), I’ll be shutting my account down in the future. I’m still in the process of moving the pieces, probably to Flickr, though I won’t be opening that up to the public. Sorry.
The writing I still have on another account scattered into the wind, though I never show it anymore because it’s very old, dark, dramatic and amateur. All of which I’ve moved on from. So I suppose you can see my current progression here on this very blog. That is, again, if one would even consider blogging to be writing.
I’m a major geek that loves computers, programming languages (I still have several books kicking around) and Linux, which often results in me making or laughing at obscure jokes that almost no one in my general vicinity gets. Alas, I don’t have any distributions of Linux right now, which makes me sad. But I get by. In other geekery I also love video games and reading fantasy books, usually of the Forgotten Realms variety though not entirely.
I’m queer in both sexual orientation and gender expression. I date who I like and dress how I like. However, since one cannot see how I dress, you should probably stick to the pronoun “they” as a safety net. It may seem weird grammatically sometimes but it’s what I prefer to have used. Also, I do identify as transgender, so I may write about that at one point or another.
Kink and BDSM are awesome, as are cats, pandas and many other cute fuzzy things. Including the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog, though I’m sure many would not consider it cute. It is, however, very fuzzy.
I think I’m going to call an end to this rambling as it’s gotten very long by now. If I think of anything else that might be of interest I’ll likely edit this page. You can also possibly ask me questions and I’ll try to answer them as best as I can.
